About me

I have a background in Architecture/Interior design and I have always loved anything art related.  As a teenager I remember baking cakes and decorating them so I could sell them in school. My favorite cake recipe was a crumble cake from an old recipe book and I used to bake it all the time for the family. For many years my interest in baking was reduced to making tres leches cake from a recipe my mother taught me which it has been very popular among my family and friends. It wasn't until the end of 2011 that my hidden passion was awaken when I discovered Bakerella and immediately decided that I needed to learn how to make this cute cake pops. I went ahead and bought her book and supplies and made my first batch of cake pops.

For over a year after that I made cake pops for my family and friends and even got a chance to meet Angie Dudley, of Bakerella!!! I also started making cupcakes here and there but I didn't know what I was getting myself into.  In March 2013 during one of my typical visits to Michael's, I noticed they were advertising their cake decorating courses open house and I was immediately hooked. I ended up signing up for all their Wilton courses.

From that moment, cake decorating has become my number one hobby and passion. I soon discovered that I needed to learn above and beyond what the Wilton courses had to offer. I started watching tutorials online and starting signing up for online classes. The abundance of information that can be found online is great and very helpful. I'm very thankful for all the cake artists out there that share their knowledge.

Thanks for visiting my blog!

Truly yours,

Ana Peck
