February Projects

February started great with one of the most watched sport events of the year, the Super Bowl. I couldn't help but make special treats for the occasion: football cake pops!!! These were a hit. Our friends love them.
And of course, the most important day in February is Valentine's Day, perfect timing for treats with a touch of red...the micro heart sprinkles look great on these:
I love how you can find candy corn for all the different seasons nowadays. These valentine's candy corns are perfect for flower cake pops.
a closer look:
I've been waiting to make teddy bear cake pops since saw them on Bakerella's blog last year and I was so excited I got a chance to make them this year. It was so much fun to put all the pieces together! One of my favorite's projects so far. They are adorable!!!!!!!
Simple cute heart cake pops for my sweetheart, my dear husband:
I took a little break this month from cake popping and adventure in cupcake baking (Cupcake Wars is one of my favorite shows). I found this great Martha Stewart recipe for carrot cupcakes with cream cheese frosting (from her book  Martha Stewart Cupcakes) and went with the rose piping technique. Yum yum.
... and last but not least, I decided to experiment with cheesecake. These were delicious! Chocolate and cheesecake, what a great combination. Can't wait to make more of these...

More to come in March! Happy baking!!!!
