Halloween Cake Pops!!!

Halloween is around the corner and I couldn't wait to start working on different designs for the occasion. I got inspired by Bakerella's recent post with the cute 'Sweet Ghost' and I couldn't resist to give it try.

Got chocolate and pumpkin spice cake balls ready and the fun started...

and here are the results...

Jack-o-lanterns, mommies, and the cute ghosts (which happens to be my favorite). I used this cute Halloween cake pop stand that I found at Target; perfect for the occasion.

The fun didn't stop here. I just don't seem to be able to stop making cake pops...

Skulls and coffins.

TRICK OR TREAT!!!

In the meantime Have a safe and happy Halloween!

Now getting ready for the next stop... Thanksgiving...

Happy baking!

Fall is here!

What I love the most about the fall? The fall colors!!! Perfect time to experiment with new cake pop colors in preparation for Halloween...I'm in love with the Wilton Halloween Mix and of course orange candy melts.

Cake balls ready to be decorated (vanilla/lemon flavor)...

...and these are the results. I used the black sugar, black/orange nonpareils and the hallow pumpkin mix. Such a cute bunch.

Now I really feel inspired and ready to work on more Halloween designs. Happy baking!

Simply Saying Thanks!

A couple of weeks ago, our 20 year old cat Simon got sick and stop eating all together. We took him to our vet and she was very special with us through this rough time. Simon started eating on his own a few days later and now he's back to normal again. Sometimes words alone cannot express gratitude so I decided to say thanks in a different way. Paw print cake pops!!!

I got all my supplies ready. Baked a chocolate cake, crumbled the cake, mixed it with cream cheese frosting and rolled the ball shaped cake bites. Yum yum.

Here are the cake balls ready to be dipped in melted white candy...

Here are the decorations ready, sprinkles and sanding sugar...

And here are the results...it's a sweet bunch

I decided to add a paw print using melted blue candy.. these cake pops are simple and cute.

Here is the final result. All wrapped up and ready to be delivered.

Thanks again to our vet for taking good care of our pets.
